Adding to an Album
The “Add to Album” action is used to add the media items passed to it as input, to either an existing top-level album or a newly created top-level album.
(⬆ see above ) The action set to add passed media items to an existing top-level album whose name is selected from the popup list of album names.
(⬇ see below ) The action set to add passed media items to a created top-level album whose name is entered in the provided text field.
Use in a Workflow
This example workflow will duplicate the contents of an existing album to a newly created album.
By default, the result of the “Get Album by Name” action is a reference to one or more Photos album objects. However, since this action is followed by an action that requires Photos media items as input, a built-in conversion action will extract and return references to all of the media items contained by the found albums.
